In search of healing and direction, I embarked on a solo backpacking journey through Central America, armed with my perfected banana bread recipe. Everywhere I went, I offered my fresh loaves, sharing the joy of my creation with others. On my birthday, I celebrated in a Nicaraguan hostel by borrowing a frying pan and oven, treating the entire hostel to birthday banana bread.

Returning to college, I still battled chronic back pain, depression, and anxiety. Unable to cope physically, I found solace in baking banana bread in my dorm room. Word quickly spread about my delicious creations, and I seized the opportunity to sell them through the halls, earning extra cash and gaining the nickname "banana bread girl" among my floor mates.

Driven to expand my business, I sought my parents' blessing to transform my old minivan into a mobile work of art, adorned with DIY bananas. With a vision in mind, I rallied a community of talented artists on campus for a collaborative project. Little did I know that amidst this endeavor, I would also meet the love of my life, who matched my curious nature and helped bring my creative ideas to life.
